The Aragonese Pyrenees is full of unknown places and the Sobrepuerto, the area from which our rural apartment takes its name, is one of them This place, made up of 9 villages, became totally uninhabited in the middle of the 20th century when the people of the Pyrenees left their home, the Aragon Pyrenees, and their homes in search of work in the big cities Today one of these villages, Bergua, has been reborn with the settlement of other people already taken as inhabitants of the Pyrenees .
At Pyrenees Cottages we want to pay a heartfelt tribute to this place and its people, and we consider that the rural tourism should also be used to learn about our history, in this case the history of the Aragonese Pyreneesso if you get this far and are encouraged to get to know this part of the Pyrenees from our rural apartments we will be happy to show you the way to … and back to their cottages of course!

Yes. Casas Pirineo is an old palatial house of the XVI century. As such it had everything necessary in it, as a small village. It had its own oven for baking bread, its own well for water, its own cellars for wine and oil, and of course its own rooms for the princesses of the time.

Everything! A meticulous restoration work was carried out and it was possible to maintain the structure completely intact, so that when you stay in our cottages you can travel back in time just by closing your eyes.
