The Aragonese Pyrenees is an ideal place to practice it, both for its landscapes and its roads. Today we want to propose the “Ronda de Ordesa<\/a>“, a route that takes us through churches, villages or through the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido. In total there are 201 kilometers that you can do in several stages. In addition, you can do each of them starting from Casas Pirineo<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

It runs through different valleys such as the Ara, the Cinca or the Bajo Pe\u00f1as area and along it you can visit places like the recovered village of J\u00e1novas.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

J\u00e1novas<\/span><\/h2>\n\n

In 1951, the creation of a reservoir was planned on the land where the villages of J\u00e1novas<\/a>, Lavelilla and Lacort were located. The land was expropriated and the neighbors were evicted from their homes, cutting off their electricity, destroying the irrigation ditches and even cutting down the olive trees in the area. In the end, the project was not carried out and, only a few years ago, the neighbors were able to return to their homes. If you want to know a village that has risen like a phoenix, J\u00e1novas is the place.<\/p>\n\n

Royal Monastery of San Victori<\/span>\u00e1n<\/span><\/h2>\n\n

It is undoubtedly one of the most striking architectural buildings in the area. Some researchers consider it to be the oldest monastery in the Iberian Peninsula, dating it to the 6th century. Since the foundation stone was laid, the monastery<\/a> has undergone numerous modifications and important historical events. Its restoration was completed in 2006 and, at present, although not all the structures that were part of it have been preserved, the monastery as such, the abbey and part of the wall are still standing.<\/p>\n\n

Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park<\/span><\/h2>\n\n

The Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park <\/a>is one of the major tourist attractions in the Aragonese Pyrenees. It has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is visited by thousands of people every year. It is not surprising because it combines nature and unique fauna such as the bearded vulture or bear ears. This route takes you to know some of its sectors such as the A\u00f1isclo Canyon or Ordesa.<\/p>\n\n

But as we said at the beginning of this post, although the destinations that await us at each of the stops we can make are incredible, we are sure that traveling the roads that take you from one point to another will impress you. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

This is just one of the many routes that you can do by car or motorcycle, but throughout the Sobrarbre you can find dozens of roads that will take you to unique places in the world.<\/p>\n\n

Do not forget to adapt your vehicle to the needs of each season, especially if it is winter, when your car should be equipped with tire chains, warm clothes, water and food. <\/span><\/p>\n\n
