It is already part of The Most Beautiful Villages of Spain<\/a> and in 2018 became the Capital of Rural Tourism, but in addition, this 2020, the village of A\u00ednsa adds a new title becoming the Capital of the Mountain, a title awarded by the association esMonta\u00f1as<\/a>. And it is not surprising because this town combines heritage, culture and nature.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Heritage<\/span><\/h2>\n\n

The old part of Ainsa was declared a Historic and Artistic Site in 1965. Its streets, its castle, which began to be built in the eleventh century; the church of Santa Maria, from the twelfth century or the facades of some of its houses are indispensable places that make Ainsa a unique place.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Culture<\/span><\/h2>\n\n

During the twelve months of the year, institutions, entrepreneurs and neighbors are involved in organizing activities. An example of this is the Festival Castillo de Ainsa<\/a> during the summer, the Ferieta<\/a> in February or the Descenso de Navatas<\/a> held in May.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Nature<\/span><\/h2>\n\n

And if A\u00ednsa has the title of Mountain Capital 2020, it is because it is one of the entrances to the National Park of Ordesa and Monte Perdido, where peaks such as Vi\u00f1amala, Monte Perdido or Marbor\u00e9, all of them with more than 3,000 meters of altitude, can be found.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

But this association not only values the history and beauty of this town in the Alto Aragonese region, but also investment, innovation and attention to the primary sector. An example of this is the project Zona Zero Pirineos<\/a>, which has prepared routes for the practice of this sport, or the launching of PRO Sobrarbe, an organization focused on promoting local products, encouraging the transition to organic farming or the conservation of the native bee.<\/span><\/p>\n\n

Thus, during this year as Mountain Capital, A\u00ednsa will host congresses, conferences and events to make itself known and will serve to lead the projects that will be initiated during 2020 by this platform.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
